Welcome Sam Saadat to the Nesian Gummas Coaching Staff

We’re thrilled to welcome Sam Saadat to the Nesian Gummas as part of our 2025 coaching team!

Sam brings over 15 years of coaching experience in the women’s rugby league space and is widely respected for his leadership, discipline, and commitment to developing young athletes. He’s currently the Head Coach of the St George Illawarra Dragons Tarsha Gale Cup (U19s) program, and now brings that same high-performance mindset to our Gummas squad.

With a strong background at clubs like the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Sydney Roosters, Sam has helped shape the pathway for many young women moving into elite-level footy. His coaching philosophy is centred around building confident, resilient players on and off the field—and that aligns perfectly with the heart of what we’re building at Nesian Gummas.

Off the field, Sam is also a practicing lawyer and director of Invictus Legal in Sydney, bringing another layer of professionalism and mentorship to our team.

We’re proud to have Sam on board and excited for the leadership, knowledge and passion he’ll bring to the Gummas family.
